Don, Jim, Tom and Josie Bunker plus Matt Smith and Roger Klasna left North Platte, Neb. on Thursday, June 19. The alternator on Don’s pickup failed and had to be replaced in Valentine Neb. causing several hours delay. We arrived at the Wathaman landing about 5PM, finding Don’s 14’ boat missing from it winter storage at 2 mile island. The boat turned up partially submerged at the old landing and caused further delay getting underway to the island which was reached at dark. Jim, Tom, Josie, Matt and Roger left on Sunday, June 29.
